Economic and Prosperity Impact Analysis of the AODA and Inclusive Design
The passing of the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and release of the associated standards puts Ontario at the forefront of legislative response to the increasing need and demand globally for more inclusive design of products, services, environments and policies. The range of obligated organizations, proposed compliance mechanisms and leeway for creativity and innovation in addressing the regulations have garnered attention worldwide.
The Martin Prosperity Institute in partnership with the Institute for Competitiveness and
Prosperity and the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre propose to conduct an analysis of
the economic and prosperity impact of the AODA.
